| The front part of the source gripper has three claws for holding the source. The operating wheel is located at the rear of the device. |

The source gripper is used to take the source out of its lead container and to screw it on the source adapter, attached to the velocity transducer, without touching the source by hand. The length of about 380 mm provides a safe distance from the source when handling it. Furthermore there is a shielding which is in front of the source when it is gripped. Specifications:

| The souce depository is an insert for the lead container, made of foamed plastic. It holds the source in such a way that it can easily taken out by the source gripper. |
