MB-AS-2-AP Absorber holderfor a quick sample exchange This absorber holder allows a sample exchange in a few seconds. By shifting its slider, the lead shutter or the absorber are alternatively located in the γ-beam. When the slider has the position for removing the absorber capsule, the readiation is shielded by a lead shutter. MB-500 Mössbauer Bench
The basic Mössbauer bench - Model MB-500 - consists of an optical track and several sliders with clamps or other mounting elements for fixing the components of a Mössbauer system like the velocity transducer, the absorber and the detector.
The sturdy design of MB-500 largely suppresses disturbing vibrations, which could cause a broadening of the Mössbauer lines. The standard arrangement is horizontal, but also a vertical arrangement is possible. In this case a second, vertical track is mounted on the horizontal base track, on which the velocity transducer is mounted in an upright position by means of a special holder.

For performing Mossbauer experiments in vertical geometry, the MB-500 can be supplemented by a vertical track. The main application is for CEMS experiments with RiKon-5 TT at low temperatures.

MB-600 Mossbauer Bench with Cryostat Stand
The Mossbauer Bench MB-600 is made of sectional aluminium which can be filled with sand or grain of shot (lead) in order to increase the weight and to damp vibrations.
